Since 1951 the Colon Hotel Barcelona has been honoured with such guests as Joan Miro, who felt as if he were at home in the Colon Hotel during the sixties and early seventies; famous writers such as Ernest Hemingway, Tennessee Williams, Jean Paul Sartre, Somerset Maugham, Henry Charriere, Noah Gordon, Stephen King, Camilo José Cela, Alvaro Cunqueiro, and seventh art celebrities such as Vittorio Gassman, Gina Lollobrigida, Sofia Loren, Christopher Lee, Jan Fonda and F.F. Coppola. Our rooms have also welcomed prestigious international architects such as Santiago Calatrava and Arata Isozaki.
